We know that exploring the stunning Highland scenery is even better when you don't have to worry about your next charge. To make your stay as seamless as possible, we have installed two dedicated EV charging points on-site for our guests.

How it works

We have partnered with Voltshare to provide a simple, reliable "pay-as-you-go" charging experience.

• The hardware: We have two 7kW Universal Type 2 chargers.

• Bring your own cable: Please note that our chargers are "untethered." You will need to bring your own Type 2 charging cable to connect your vehicle to the unit.

• Simple activation: Charging is managed via the Voltshare App. Simply scan the QR code on the charger, follow the prompts, and start your session.

• Transparent pricing: Electricity is charged at 54p per kWh. You only pay for exactly what you use, billed directly through the app.

Shared access and etiquette

With two chargers available for our three cottages, there is plenty of power to go around! To ensure everyone has a chance to top up:

• Plug in overnight: 7kW is the perfect speed for a full overnight charge.

• Cooperation: Lettoch Beag has its own dedicated charge point. The Cow Shed and Cow Shed 2 share a charge point which can be easily reached from both dedicated parking spaces. Once your vehicle has reached your desired charge level, we kindly ask that you disconnect it just in case the other cottage guests need to charge their car. Thank you.

• Safety first: For safety and insurance reasons, the use of "Granny cables" (portable 3-pin domestic chargers) plugged into the cottage sockets is strictly prohibited.

 

Plan your highland adventures

Lettoch is perfectly positioned for electric touring. With a full charge from our Voltshare units, you can easily reach local landmarks like The House of Bruar, Blair Castle, or even head over the pass to Braemar and back without needing to stop at a public rapid charger.
