And so we first halved the remaining steading by building a straw-bale wall which we plastered using traditional clay. This created a generous open-planned living space which we learn from visitors to the original Cowshed, is particularly pleasing. A centrally located wood burning stove separates a wonderfully cosy sitting room from the spacious open plan kitchen dining area.
Comfort, sustainability and style are reflected throughout Cowshed 2. The kitchen has been made almost entirely from recycled pallet wood; a theme continued on pallet wood-clad feature walls found in both the main living area and adjacent bedroom. An en-suite bathroom boasts a powerful, walk in shower. And underfloor heating across the cottage, in addition to the wood burning stove, guarantees cosiness in all weathers.
Very comfortable stay for our second visit to The Cow Shed...... Cow Shed 2 looks amazing Steve. We’ll recommend it to friends and family and hopefully see you next year.
Every detail is taken care of and we felt welcome from the moment we arrived.
This was a once in a lifetime trip for us and we were blessed to have found such a wonderful place to stay.
Just about the very best we have stayed in.
